I think my ems or xms memory is corrupt and when i use theme i have error but i don't know where they are on my mother board how can i replace them?
The reason for this can be on-board devices USB etc which use that region for their purpose. You can try to enable all these "shadow memory" option in BIOS setup and see if that helps.

I really don't want to learn all these nitty-gritty details about emm I just want to know if the installation of win will be problematic for the same reasons that emm needed my help to get itself working on this motherboard. I'm going to have to run it straight from DOS, because I don't yet have win installed on this motherboard. Is emm supposed to be loaded first when running UMAScan? Add a line to the file above the line that says Win if you have such a line that reads like this, using the switches that you prefer:. Restart your computer after you modify the file. I think the locking up problem may be different than the shutdown problem.
I think that is something to do with my internet connection. I have cable and I think my RX levels are too low, it only seems to lock up when I'm on the net. If they fix that problem then I can put the emm line back into the config.
